Whether you're planning a wedding or dressing up for a special night out, the gorgeous creations in this week's feature shop are sure to make you feel beautiful! Meet Kimberly, the creative force behind Embellishing You! Cheers, -Cori of Peace, Baby! Batiks

What is your name?
Kimberly Dotts

Where are you located?
Hershey, Pennsylvania

Regal Blue Taffeta Flower Hair Clip/Pin with Silver Swarovski Crystal
Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a SAHM of two. My dear husband and I have a 2-1/2 year old daughter and a 3-month-old son. Before having children, I was an adoption counselor and supervisor, work that I loved but was too demanding with being a mom - the most important job I have ever had!

What type of merchandise will shoppers find in your shop?
Swarovski crystal hair pins in every color! Plus, bridal tiaras and hair vines. Recently, I have added sequin hair pins for girls, tweens, teens and adults!

Sequin Flower Hair Pins
How/why did you get started? How long have you been making jewelry and accessories?
I have been "creating" things since I was a little girl. My mom always said if I was bored, I should "make" something. About 15 years ago, I began beading with seed beads. I worked my way thru a couple of bead magazines and learned all the stitches I could find. Seed beading and babies aren't compatible for me -- but I realized that the wedding jewelry and hair accessories that I made for my own wedding and a friend's were marketable.

What is your favorite part of your craft?
I have always loved the sense of accomplishment when creating and now I love working with a bride to create exactly what she is envisioning for her wedding day.

Delicate Cream Swarovski Pearl and Crystal Flower Hair Pins
What are your favorite kinds of beads to work with?
Swarovski crystals and pearls for business. vintage 15o seed beads for fun.

What inspires you to create?
The love and passion that accompanies a wedding!

Bridal Fascinator with Vibrant Swarovski Crystal Embellishment
How do you balance mothering and running a small business?
Being a mom comes first. Naptime is a fabulous opportunity for me to do all the managing of my shop. Often I must wait until my husband is home to handle orders and create new items.

What is your favorite thing to browse Etsy for?
I love to surf for gifts. Sometimes I focus on treasuries, and other times I use the pounce function.

When you're not crafting, what are you doing?
Bring mom. My favorite quote right now is "I make milk. What's your superpower?"

Where can we find you?

What is your favorite shop (not yours) on Etsy currently?
I could never pick just one.

Tutorial Tuesdays: Crochet Pennant Bunting

Today's post comes to us from Sarah @ Sarahndipities: Crochet Pennant Bunting Pattern

As promised here is the pattern for my crocheted pennant bunting garland!

I've made these using different kinds of yarn and it always turns out great!

Materials Needed:
Small amount of yarn  (I used Caron Simply Soft and Bernat Satin)
crochet hook size I (or larger or smaller depending on the look you want)
Yarn needle

ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
st(s) = stitch(es)

Row 1:  Ch 4.  2 dc in 4th ch from hook.  Ch 3, turn.  (3 dc)
Row 2:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 2 sts.  Ch 3, turn.  (4 dc)
Row 3:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 3 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (5 dc)
Row 4:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 4 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (6 dc)
Row 5:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 5 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (7 dc)
Row 6:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 6 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (8 dc)
Row 7:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 7 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (9 dc)
Row 8:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 8 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (10 dc)
Row 9:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 9 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (11 dc)
Row 10:  1 dc in bottom of ch.  1 dc in next 10 sts.  Ch 3, turn.   (12 dc)

***I'm by now you've noticed the can adjust how big or small the pennant is by adding or eliminating rows.***

Finishing Row:  Work 21 sc in side of pennant to end, with last sc being in the tip.  Ch 2, sc in same sp.  Continuing around, work 20 sc along side of pennant to top.  Fasten off, weave in ends.

Garland:  Ch 40.  Sc in each st across top pennant. Ch 15.  Repeat with remaining pennants.  To finish ch 40, fasten off.
